Giles Andreae, Guy Parker-rees

Giles lives with his wife and three children in Notting Hill and Wiltshire. He writes highly successful children's books. The first, Rumble in the Jungle, was an instant success and has sold more than half a million copies. The more recent Dinosaurs Galore continues the rhyming fun and vibrant illustrations that established Giraffes Can't Dance as a perennial children's favourite. The Lion Who Wanted to Love won the Federation of Children's Book Group's Best Picture Book Award 1998.  Giles more recent and equally enchanting titles are There's a House Inside My Mummy, Heaven's Having You, K is For Kissing A Cool Kangeroo and The Magic Donkey Ride. Giles's children's books have, to date, sold more than 1.5 million copies, making him one of the most successful children's authors working today.
Giles Andreae is also the creator of Purple Ronnie, Britain's favourite stickman. This phenomenally successful cartoon character has made Giles the country's top-selling poet and an icon of contemporary popular culture.

Guy Parker-Rees lives and works in Brighton. He was born in Zimbabwe and came to England when he was three. He gained a degree in English and Philosophy at York University before going on to found "Art Attack", a mural painting co-operative running workshops and play schemes. He then went on to set up an Art Therapy Department, for people with mental health problems.
Since 1989, Guy has been a freelance illustrator, working mainly on children's books - he has illustrated over forty to date.
