Books By Alec Sillifant - Author

Alec Sillifant was born on the 21st April 1965 in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset but left before ever having tasted cider and has lived in what he considers his home city, Liverpool, for 38 years.

There then followed some, not totally unsuccessful, time at school before a fairly long succession of jobs ranging from motorcycle dispatch rider and clerical assistant amongst other things.

Throughout much of his fluctuating career path, he was writing things: poems, short stories, all the usual embarrassing stuff he hopes never sees the light of day.
In 2000 he tried his hand at writing jokes and verses for the greetings card industry and found, still finds, much to his surprise that people will pay him to do it.

One day in 2003 he turned his attention on Meadowside Children’s Books, amongst others, and sent them, a short piece of fiction which after a few changes they agreed to publish. Since then the same good people have published more of his stuff and now he’s got nine titles to his name ranging from picture books to a novel for teenagers.

He has been married to Tracey for a long time and is father to four sons who deeply love their parents…no, not parents another ‘p’ word…Playstation, that’s it.
He has dabbled with martial arts but most of the things he wants to do in his spare time require either an expensive item fitted with an engine or foreign travel, neither of which he has the wherewithal to finance. When the sun comes out he has been known to cover a few miles on a motorbike.

As for his future, not unlike his past and present, Alec Sillifant hasn’t got a clue as to what is going on.
