Annabel Bennetts and Mellany Robinson

Annabel and Mellany first met in Camberley in the mid 1970s when they were six years old (that's quite a long time ago!). They soon discovered a shared a passion and began writing picture stories together - only then, their office was the playground bench. Despite Annabel moving to a different town at the age of eleven, they kept in touch. On leaving school, Annabel went to Oxford and went on to become a commercial lawyer. Mellany went to the Royal College of Art and worked in advertising and photography. Later, they both had children and rediscovered the joys of children’s literature.
