Kate Lum lives in Canada. She is the author of Princesses Are Not Quitters and What! published by Bloomsbury in July 2008.

Sue Hellard lives in London and has illustrated many wonderful books for children. Princesses are not Quitters was her first book for Bloomsbury. She is the illustrator of My Grandson is a Genius, written by Giles Andreae.

The Princesses are not Quitters artwork was inspired by a 1960s hairdressers sign over a local shop — a very high hairdo on a letraset sort of woman.
