Books By Kate Lum & Sue Hellard - Author

Kate Lum lives in Canada. She is the author of Princesses Are Not Quitters and What! published by Bloomsbury in July 2008.

Sue Hellard lives in London and has illustrated many wonderful books for children. Princesses are not Quitters was her first book for Bloomsbury. She is the illustrator of My Grandson is a Genius, written by Giles Andreae.

Sue says, 'I live in North London with an Abyssinian cat and four guinea pigs, who have a bespoke four storey hutch on wheels and run around my feet during the day when I’m working. The cat is named Sushi (I like Japanese food). The guinea pigs are all named after artists: Warhol, Morandi, Jackson and Rembrandt. I’m single and don’t have any children. I’m completely in love with my allotment (in Highgate) and my idea would be to live in a shed up there because it has the attraction of the countryside but with decent cappuccino five minutes away!  I have a degree in Graphics.

The Princesses are not Quitters artwork was inspired by a 1960s hairdressers sign over a local shop — a very high hairdo on a letraset sort of woman.
