Margery Williams - Author

Margery Williams was born in London in 1881 and was a professional writer from the age of 19. She wrote over 25 novels and children's books and achieved lasting fame with the 1922 publication of the classic that is her best-known work, The Velveteen Rabbit.

She died in New York in September 1944.
