Background: As a child, Julia grew up listening to the magical sounds of fair rides and animals from a theme park across the stream at the bottom of her garden in Staffordshire, England. A love of reading, nature and the outdoors fed her colourful imagination and inspired her to become an author.

Her travels took her to many beautiful places, many of which she used in her descriptive setting for Dragor. Julia studied Speech and Drama with the Royal College of Music and creative writing at University. Julia was awarded the British Arts Council Award in 2014 and is Patron of Reading in her home city of Lichfield. She is also Ambassador of literature for Mini-kin (parental education support).
