Lisa Wheeler is the author of many beloved picture books, including Someone Builds the Dream, Jazz Baby (a Geisel Honor Book), Farmer Dale's Red Pickup Truck, and The Christmas Boot (a Golder Kite Award winner).  Charlie Alder, formerly the art director of a women's magazine, has written and/or illustrated many books for children. She lives in Devon, England, with her husband and son. When not drawing, Charlie can be found in her studio drinking coffee and arranging her crayons.
