How can she keep such a big thing secret, especially when she hasn’t had time to find a safe place to keep it? How Alex wins through is a cheery, first person story that gets to the heart of all the delights and difficulties around friends, families and school. Synopsis

Alex's Back by Helena Pielichaty

All Alex wants is a simple life - but do you think that's possible? Not a chance! She's cut down her friends and is just sticking to one best friend, she's cut down on out-of-school activities and is just going to After School Club, but then things start to get complicated again. She's asked to sing at a wedding, which is great - but it's all a big secret. And secrets have a habit of making life really confusing and out of control.

Poor Alex - the only time she really feels calm is when she's having a chat to her dead brother! And her family think that's seriously weird . . .

A funny and lively story that will strike a chord with readers everywhere.
