Clear, accessible writing with wonderful illustrations in beautiful warm colours. I think every child's library should include a copy of Aesop's Fables. This version is one I would be happy to recommend, and would make a lovely gift. Library Mice

With its many comic touches, this anthology presents once again the humor, folly, ingenuity, and wisdom that make Aesop so durable. School Library Journal, USA
