The Lovereading4Kids comment
September 2014 Debut of the Month Everyone knows what it feels like to be grumpy! But how can you stop it? When Elephant wakes up one morning he’s cross about everything. But then he gets given an unusual gift. With a funny hat on his head how can he go on being so cross? Elephant shares his present with all the other animals and soon everyone is happy!
A heart-warming animal story with some attractive animals in it.
The Good Book Guide Review. Elephant is grumpy, but when he receives a present, it cheers him up. He wants to show his new hat to his friends Zebra, Turtle, Owl and Lion. Each animal is grumpy but they are all cheered up when they are given a layer from Elephant’s hat. This is a beautifully illustrated and sensitive story about friendship, sharing and dealing with moods. (Ages 2–5)
