The Lovereading4Kids comment

October 2014 Book of the Month Award-winning Emily Gravett celebrates all the delights of snow in this attractive picture book. Best friends Bear and Hare love playing in the snow. They make footprints and snow angels and have a wonderful snowball fight. And, best of all, they end the day with some sledging!

Bear and Hare is a gorgeous new series that will delight young children and their parents. With her distinctive sense of humour, Emily Gravett has created two loveable new characters whose antics are portrayed with wit and warmth in her beautiful illustrations.

Bear and Hare: Snow! by Emily Gravett

Meet Bear and Hare. They are the best of friends, and love to have fun together. But their plans don’t always go right, sometimes with the most hilarious of consequences! In Bear and Hare Go Fishing, the first book in this beautiful new series, Bear is very excited about a fishing trip – but Hare is rather more interested in tucking into their picnic lunch. Will Bear have any luck with his fishy adventures? Or will Hare be more of a hindrance than a help?

Bear and Hare portray a gaunt of emotion as the two friends explore the delights and pitfalls of playing in the snow. The Bookseller

'Bear and Hare Go Fishing is a beautifully illustrated book, full of warmth and humour, and starring two loveable new characters. I find the book really cute and the little man likes it too, he can read it on its own and giggles while reading the story.'

'This is a lovely first book for enjoying together with a simple story and lovely pictures to go with it.'
