The Lovereading4Kids comment

Can Little Hog avoid all the hugs that everyone wants to give him? And does he really want to?? As the smallest and most huggable creature in the forest, Little Hog gets Big Hugs, Slow Hugs, Hopping-Quick Hugs and sometimes, Prickly hugs. And that is too many hugs! To avoid more, Little Hogs puts up a sign - “Hogs Hate Hugs” – and runs off into the forest. But when something very scary comes after him, Little Hog realises that Hogs do like hugs after all!

Hogs Hate Hugs! by Tiziana Bendall-Brunello

Little Hog is the cutest, cuddliest hog in the whole forest, and EVERYONE wants to hug him! But Little Hog doesn't like hugs - he's far too old for that. He makes a poster telling everyone: Hogs Hate Hugs! and storms off - so his friends have to come up with an ingenious way of making him realise that You can never be too old for a good hug! With adorable and lively illustrations packed with character, this picture book is fantastic for parents and children to share together, emphasising the importance of love and affection with those who are close to you.

Make room for a hug (and a hog) in your bookshelf now! -- Phil May Read It Daddy!

Hugs are important - we all, young and old, need hugs and this story is a lovely way to share that thought with young children, preferably whilst having a cuddle! -- Parents in Touch
