The Lovereading4Kids comment

You can just tell from the illustration of Little Red Riding Hood on the title page of Ed Bryan’s lively retelling of this favourite story that she’s going to be more than a match for the wolf, no matter how big his teeth are. She radiates confidence and intelligence. Arriving at her grandmother’s house with a basket full of all things acquired on her way, she rightly regards the shape in the bed with suspicion, and is ready when the wolf leaps up. First she attacks him with flowers, making him sneeze, then with acorns, and finally drenches him with honey: exit wolf, pursued by bees. Pre-schoolers will love this and it will stand up to frequent re-readings. ~ Andrea Reece

Ruth from Nosy Crow says: This classic fairy tale now sports a wonderfully modern heroine and a lighthearted ending, perfect for preschoolers and guaranteed to get the family giggling. With vibrant artwork that's packed with detail, and a gentle, upbeat narrative, you’ll come back to this book again and again. What’s more, fans of the app are sure to love this beautiful retelling. Little Red Riding Hood by Ed Bryan

Little Red Riding Hood sets out into the forest to take a basket of goodies to her poorly grandma. Along the way, she adds to her stores, picking beautiful flowers, gathering fallen acorns and receiving a gift of some nice, sticky honey. She thinks these treats will cheer up her grandma. But little does she know that they could just save her from the Big Bad Wolf ...
