About the Author

Sanja Rescek lives in Zagreb, where she studied graphic design and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has illustrated picture books for Random House, Scholastic, Campbell and many other publishers and she has also illustrated cards for UNICEF. When she is not illustrating, she enjoys painting and designing children's furniture. Hannah was born in England, but grew up in both Holland and Norway. Her first inspiration came from the artwork of the anonymous artists in 70's girls' comics, which still has even though they are a bit ragged after being attacked by a bad-tempered cat. Hannah enjoys combining both the digital and more traditional techniques to make work that is bright, colourful and appealing. When not working she likes collecting gaudy kitsch from all over the world.
