Can We Have Our Ball Back, Please? by Gareth Owen

Gareth Owen's lifelong love of football blazes through this stunning book of beautifully-crafted poems. All the joy, sorrow, and sheer fun of being a player and a fan can be found in this wonderfully funny and heartwarming collection. England gave football to the world, who, now they've got the knack, play it better than we do, and won't let us have it back.

About the Author

At school, Gareth Owen was pretty awful at everything except English and football and has harboured a lifelong dream to play for Everton. He writes poetry, novels and plays, and used to manage an independent record company. He lives in Ludlow.
