The Lovereading4Kids comment

Tamsyn Murary’s Completely Cassidy stories are just delightful. They follow the adventures of Cassidy Bond as she navigates year seven and a home life recently interrupted by the arrival of twin baby siblings aka The Wide Awake Club. There are various plot strands involving Cassidy, her big brother Liam and friends Shen and Molly, all brought together when someone starts a school website filled with nasty gossip and Cassidy to her horror gets the blame. It makes for very lively reading and the descriptions are spot on: this is school and home life as readers know it, just that bit funnier and shinier. Great fun. ~ Andrea Reece

A Piece of Passion from Stephanie King, Usborne Publishing Just thinking about this second book in the Completely Cassidy series makes me grin! Fantastically fresh and funny, this story sees Cassidy become the Year 7 correspondent for her school paper. But how far is Cassidy prepared to go to get the latest gossip on her classmates? Looking at the very real problem of online bullying, but with a refreshing lightness of touch, Star Reporter is both utterly gripping and totally giggle-packed. Told by Cassidy herself in Tamsyn Murray's gorgeously quirky and witty style, sitting down with this book is like chilling out with your BFF. Enjoy!

Completely Cassidy Star Reporter by Tamsyn Murray

Meet Cassidy. With her embarrassing dad, pregnant mum, loser brother and knicker-chewing dog, she’s almost invisible in her family. So she’s hoping Year 7 is her time to shine, especially since a test proved she’s Gifted & Talented. The only problem is she picked her answers at random. But surely the school wouldn’t make a mistake about her genius?

Cassidy is determined to discover a hidden talent to help her stand out from the crowd. So when her petition to let girls wear trousers gets her noticed by the editor of the school mag, she's thrilled. Could she be a star reporter? But her plans go pear-shaped when her investigations mysteriously end up online. Who's leaking her top-secret gossip?
