Reviews

* An excellent book which offers many stimulating opportunities for learning and discussion about life on the farm. Parents in Touch * A brilliant book for budding farmers everywhere!... Told through rhyming couplets this is a riveting, rhythmical read as life is portrayed from several perspectives, such as the soil, tractor, farmer, birds and cows. EYE Many a reader will love this book, not just those who are fascinated by machinery... Keen searching of the delightful collages will reveal many sub-plots...It is celebratory, following the season, the humans and the creatures that inhabit the farm, in both awe and wonder. Find a copy!

* We expect beautifully illustrated books from Susan Steggall... this time [she] complements her wonderful illustrations with a beautifully written, poetic text that is a joy to read aloud again and again. A must-read for 2-5 year old with treasured adults. Highly recommended. The School Librarian

About the Author

Susan Steggall

Having initially trained as a graphic designer, SUSAN STEGGALL became a primary school teacher and taught young children for several years. After having her own two boys, she began work in a school library where she enjoyed finding out about new authors and illustrators and selecting beautiful new books for the shelves. As her boys grew up, she started making all sorts of pictures for them of the cars, trucks and trains they found so fascinating. After lots of experiments, the idea of using torn coloured and textured paper evolved. Susan lives in the New Forest in Hampshire.

Her other titles include The Life of a Car, On the Road, Rattle and Rap, Busy Boats and Red Car, Red Bus.
