Let's Play! by Herve Tullet

The Lovereading4Kids comment

April 2016 Book of the Month Hervé Tullet subverts the idea of touchscreen technology with characteristic playfulness and invention in his new book. In Let’s Play a spot of paint, primary bright yellow, addresses the reader directly, inviting children to join it in a game. Reading the book becomes a physical experience as readers follow the instructions to press hard on pages, follow painted lines with their fingers, blow and shake their heads. It’s a piece of theatre, an interactive adventure that explores colour, layout, design and the magic of printed pages. Unlike anything else, this is a book to surprise and delight with every reading. ~ Andrea Reece

Synopsis

Let's Play! by Herve Tullet

It's only a yellow dot...but what a dot it is. A dot with attitude, jaunty and sporting a sense of adventure. There isn't a reader who'll be able to resist taking up its challenge: 'Follow me' demands our dot and we're off on the ride of colour, motion, shape and imagination that we know and love so well from Press Here and Mix It Up. And this dot has an extra special dimension: emotion. Our dot connects not only to the mind but to the heart with an extraordinary sense of humour, fear, joy, and more while it pushes, lurches, wiggles and slides its way through...and even off the pages of this glorious companion to New York Times best sellers Press Here and Mix It Up.
