The Lovereading4Kids comment

With his helpful, happy expression Harvey the crocodile is an irresistible little character. There’s nothing he wants more than to be like Superhero Steve and do daring and heroic things for others. When on a trip across town to return Steve’s cloak, a string of happy accidents results in Harvey getting the credit for stopping a thief, putting out a fire and saving a life, he is hailed as a hero. The story is carried equally by the text and the illustrations and this clever little story will have children laughing and laughing. ~ Andrea Reece

The Editor at Nosy Crow says: “Superheroes are the best! Children will love the way all Harvey's mishaps turn into good deeds in this lovely story with a truly irresistible little hero!”

Reviews

Praise for Baxter's Book:

It is hard not to love a book about loving books, and Baxter’s Book by Hrefna Bragadottir is the story of a peculiar blue birdlike creature who auditions to be in a book, but doesn’t conform to expectations. Simple words and comic pictures let us know that even the odd deserve attention. – The Sunday Times

About the Author

Hrefna Bragadottir

Originally from Iceland, Hrefna Bragadottir has lived and studied in the UK for the past 14 years. After completing an MA in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Arts, she spent many years working as an animator on various children's TV series, before entering the exciting world of picture books. Amongst other things, Hrefna likes watching wildlife documentaries and reading funny animal facts. She feels there is a lot to be learnt from animals. For instance, did you know that sea otters hold hands when they sleep to keep them from drifting apart? When she's not at her desk thinking up new characters and storylines, Hrefna likes baking cakes, riding her bike and going on mini adventures in the countryside. Follow Hrefna on Instagram here.
