The Lovereading4Kids comment

Inspired by Michael Rosen and Helen Oxenbury’s classic picture book We’re Going on a Bear Hunt this Field Guide is full of information about the animals and plants that children might find on bear hunts of their own, as well as facts about the weather, the sky and ground beneath their feet. Alongside the information, clearly and attractively presented, are activity suggestions to help children find out more for themselves and to develop a love and interest in the natural world. Just the size for popping into a pocket or rucksack this will make outdoor adventures of all sorts more rewarding. ~ Andrea Reece

A companion book to We're Going on a Bear Hunt: My Explorer's Journal.

Reviews

[...] brilliant [...] The approach of the book is excellent * Parents in Touch * [...] full of things and places to explore [...] Both are beautifully illustrated with artwork from the animated special of the book. * Primary Times * Another inspired activity book based on a long-standing children's classic, this one gets youngsters busy with their own nature discoveries in this beautifully illustrated and colourful A5 journal. Stick in leaves, sketch insects, draw the changing seasons and count stars. And that's just the start. * The Independent *
