The Lovereading4Kids comment

From cows, horses, dogs and cats to snails, worms, foxes and whales everyone needs their sleep and what better way to persuade your child to go to sleep than to join these lovely creatures in their quest for sleep. Quite brilliant and some terrific illustrations as well.

Synopsis

Animal Lullabies by Mandy Ross

Original and quirky lullabies that animals sing to their offspring at bedtime!

Reviews

The linking theme in this collection of verses is animals and sleep - how they get to sleep or what they get up to in their sleep. 'Skunk

'Sweet dreams, scented dreams, my little skunkadee. All's well that ends well, my little stinkaree.'

'pongaroo'

'honkydoo'. We also enjoyed 'Dog': 'Sniff the bedding, and sniff the night, turn round to the left, and round to the right. Keep one eye open, as long as you're able, then dream of the scraps, dropped under the table.'
