The Lovereading4Kids comment

Meet Pinkie, a fabulously feisty modern tomboy heroine who is mad about pink. Kids who are just starting to enjoy the experience of reading from 4 upwards will relish these terrific stories. Each one is packaged with a glittery cover and there is a pull-out poster in every one too.
There are four launch titles: Midnight Feast, Fancy Dress, A Nickname and Dance Fever.

Adventures Of Pinkie: What's in a Nickname by Maddy Rose

A fabulously feisty pink-mad tomboy, Pinkie lives with her mum and dad in a stripey lighthouse by the sea, has lots of friends and loves to visit the Grampies down the hill. Reviews

Now this is a rather cool young lady who has a whole series of adventures for girls to enjoy -- Sarah Hardy Eastern Daily Press

About the Author

Maddy Rose was born and raised in Cambridge, and has lots of fond memories of holidays on the north Devon coast with its long sandy beaches and stories of smugglers coves and pirates hide-outs. Maddy studied graphic illustration for two years before a move to Southampton to get a degree in podiatry.

When Maddy gave up work to have her first child she reverted back to her illustration days and started scribbling the stories for Pinkie. Now a full time mum and juggling a career as a children’s author Maddy is a happily married mother of two, living on the coastline that she fell in love with as a child.
