The Lovereading4Kids commentThe second installment in this mind-blowing futuristic trilogy set in a world without grown-ups. The sickness kills off all those who are over 18 leaving behind teenagers who suddenly find that they have to survive on their own in a world in which they must restore society by making their own rules. Can they do it? The stakes are high and this the tension builds throughout the trilogy. The first book is Time Of The Reaper and the series culminates with The Tomorrow Seed.
Slave Harvest - The Reaper Trilogy by Andrew ButcherThe Sickness that ravaged the world is complete and only the children are left. Having failed to resist the Scytharene alien attack, Travis and his friends are beamed on board spaceships, along with many other children - to become slaves. Just when it seems that there is no hope, help arrives from two unexpected sources: Darion, one of the Scytharene, who despises the destructiveness of his race. And a group of scientists, the last remaining adults, who have been hiding underground and have access to some serious weapons. A mission like this will involve great sacrifice but will it be enough to end the terror of the Scytharene?
