The Lovereading4Kids comment

From the brilliantly talented author of We’re going on a Bear Hunt, comes a wonderfully warm and funny story about a bear who lives by the sea but thinks life in the city will be more fun – until he actually goes there and gets lost. All comes good in the end when some children take him back home. The text and illustrations combine to make a wonderfully appealing story for young children everywhere. In addition, it comes complete with an audio CD that is read by the author. A perfect book for reading aloud with the sing-along text and the sleepy ending make it the perfect bedtime read.

Synopsis

The Bear In The Cave by Michael Rosen

A very happy bear hears the sounds of the city from his quiet home by the sea and decides to find out what city life is like. Buying the ticket and travelling on the train is all very exciting. And so is the city! But after a while the bear finds the city a little too noisy and a little too busy - and people are beginning to laugh at him. He feels very sad and alone, until four children find him and show him the way home, with much fun along the way. A picture book about a bear who decides to go exploring. It includes a CD of the author reading the story.
