Anthony Horowitz

RRP: £12.99 Saving £3.25 (25%)The Lovereading comment:
Yet again Anthony Horowitz has come up trumps with an edge-of-the-seat thriller with some brilliantly spun twists that will keep you guessing right up to the very end. The female protagonist is brilliantly portrayed - the first time, we think Horowitz has led with a female character. it's sure to get more girls reading him and it certainly won't disappoint the boys. The only disappointment after finishing this one will be waiting for the next one.
Synopsis
Hong Kong has been taken over by the Old Ones and has become Necropolis, city of the dead. Once in, there is no way out... Evil has been unleashed on the world and only five children - with special powers - can save it. Matt and the other three desperately need to find Scar, the final gatekeeper, who has been trapped in Hong Kong.
Reviews
* There aren't many writers who in one book can bridge the gap between Enid Blyton, Ed McBain and JRR Tolkein, but it's the kind of challenge that the energetic Horowitz relishes. The Daily Telegraph * Horowitz is marvellous at getting inside the minds of disenfranchised marginalised teenage boys. The Times
