Julia Eccleshare's comment:
Firmly established as a modern classic which is loved by children the world over, this handsome special edition says Happy 10th Birthday to The Gruffalo. Along with the original story there is an introduction by Julia Donaldson about how the story came to be written – and how it nearly didn’t happen at all! There are also some previously unpublished sketches by Axel Scheffler which show how he built up his pictures of the mouse and the gruffalo himself. A collector’s item for all Gruffalo fans with a fantastic gold over jacket that gives it that finishing touch.
