This book is fun! The illustrations are bold and cheerful, and the book teaches the basic language essentials in such an interesting way that children will be inspired to have a go, and maybe to surprise their parents with how much they have learnt! Each French word has a simple guide to pronunciation as well as its English translation, and each double page spread deals with a different set of useful phrases, eg names, ages, family, shopping etc. There are also plenty of games and activities to give lots of practice at speaking out loud.
