Synopsis
Bob and Barry's Lunar Adventures 2: A Right Royal Disaster by Simon BartramSecond title in a new fiction series for 5-8 year olds 'Bob and Barry's Lunar Adventures'. Every year, Queen Battleaxe picks one unlucky astronaut to host her birthday party and now Bob has the horrible honour! The party has to be super-amazing, otherwise the queen will have the Moon towed away. Bob gets a famous artist to make a statue of Her Highness to stand on the Moon, but when he decides to make a few little tweaks, he knocks off the head! Luckily, Bob saves the day and it ends up being The Queen Battleaxe’s best birthday ever!
About The Author
Simon Bartram is one of the most talented picture book illustrators and authors working today. He realised very early on that he wanted to be an illustrator as he always loved drawing and was an avid consumer of comics. His first illustration was for Roy of the Rovers when he was eleven. He graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic with a first class degree in illustration in 1990, and his art style is heavily in uenced by artists such as Peter Blake, Stanley Spencer and Reg Cartwright. Simon has been shortlisted for several major illustration awards including The Mother Goose in 1999 and the Kate Greenaway Award twice.
Simon is a mad keen football fan and supporter of Sunderland. He lives in
Newcastle with his wife Nicola and their son. Simon’s other books for Templar include: Pumpkin Moon, A Winter’s Tale, Dougal’s Deep-Sea Diary, The Alien Spotters Guide and Watch Out for Sprouts.
