The Lovereading4Kids comment

Bob, the much loved Man on the Moon, is back in a wonderfully witty and crazy new extra-terrestrial adventure for beginner readers. As ever, bob doesn’t believe in aliens! But when it looks as if he might lose his head after he tinkers with a statue of the queen, someone comes to the rescue. Could it be an ALIEN? Loads of illustrations bring the story to life.

And a message from Mike Jolley, the Art Director at the Publisher:

Wonderfully bonkers, and as British as a mini pork pie, Simon Bartram is a unique voice in children's publishing. His books have a refreshingly 'real' heart and natural character.

Bob and Barry started life in Simon's glorious picture books, and now, with this witty new series, he has successfully launched them into the young fiction arena. While the illustrations are in black and white, they are as mind-bogglingly detailed and amazing as any of his colour work.

To my mind, Simon is one of the best British illustrators in the universe!

Second title in a new fiction series for 5-8 year olds 'Bob and Barry's Lunar Adventures'. Every year, Queen Battleaxe picks one unlucky astronaut to host her birthday party and now Bob has the horrible honour! The party has to be super-amazing, otherwise the queen will have the Moon towed away. Luckily, Bob saves the day and it ends up being The Queen Battleaxe’s best birthday ever!
