This is a thrilling action adventure which hurtles across time and place at breakneck speed. Three children are on the bring of death: Liam is about to drown as the Titanic sinks in 1912, Maddy is on an aeroplane fitted with a device which will destroy it in 2010 while Sal looks set to die in a fire in 2026. Each is offered a deal which means saying goodbye to their old lives… for a price. Meeting up and working together, the three make an unbeatable team fighting to save the world from imminent disaster.
Freddie, aged 11, loves Time Riders too:
I really enjoyed Time Riders ! The writer's imagination amazed me and I learnt a lot of historical facts. Two of the main characters are girls but it is still definitely a book that boys would enjoy. Finally it was action-packed and all 11 year olds love action! I cannot wait until the next book in the series.
Synopsis
Time Riders by Alex ScarrowClick below to watch the trailer for the first in this fantastic new series
Liam O'Connor should have died at sea in 1912. Maddy Carter should have died on a plane in 2010. Sal Vikram should have died in a fire in 2029. Yet moments before death, someone mysteriously appeared and said, 'Take my hand ...' But Liam, Maddy and Sal aren't rescued. They are recruited by an agency that no one knows exists, with only one purpose - to fix broken history. Because time travel is here, and there are those who would go back in time and change the past. That's why the Time Riders exist: to protect us. To stop time travel from destroying the world...
About The Author
Alex Scarrow used to be a rock guitarist, then he became a graphic artist,
then he decided to be a computer games designer. Finally, he grew up and
became an author. He has written a number of successful thrillers and
several screenplays, but it's YA fiction that has allowed him to really have
fun with the ideas and concepts he was playing around with designing
games.
He lives in Norwich with his son, Jacob, his wife, Frances, and two very fat
rats.
