Synopsis
Ruby Flew Too! by Jonathan EmmettMother and Father Duck have five eggs in their nest and they are all special. Father Duck is worried about Ruby. She is slow to hatch and the last to eat and swim. About The Author
Jonathan was born in Leicestershire in 1965, the son of a rig fitter and a primary school teacher.
It was while he was at college, studying architecture, that he first developed his skills as a writer and illustrator, creating detailed illustrations to accompany poems and lyrics that he had written. After leaving college, he worked as an architect for several years, before pursuing a full-time career in children’s books.
In addition to writing picture books such as Bringing Down the Moon, Someone Bigger and Pigs Might Fly, Jonathan also writes and paper-engineers pop-up books.
He lives in Nottingham with his wife Rachel, and his children, Max and Laura. His hobbies include walking, reading, furniture design and tinkering with his website www.scribblestreet.co.uk
