Synopsis

Humphrey's Book of Fun-fun-fun by Betty G. Birney

Amazing activities and rollicking riddles from everybody's favourite hamster - Humphrey! Dear friends, I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE being the classroom hamster in Room 26, Longfellow School. I've learned a lot about reading, writing, maths and making friends...and I've had amazing adventures in and out of my cage, too. But I also love solving puzzles and riddles in the tiny notebook I keep hidden in my cage. They're not always easy but if I wiggle my whiskers and scratch my furry head for a while, I usually can solve them. I'm sharing some of my favourites in this fun-filled book so you can find out if you're as smart as a hamster! (I'll bet you are.) Your puzzle-loving pal, Humphrey.

The adorable Humphrey has his own website full of games and pictures - click here to visit.

Betty Birney on Betty Birney:

I wrote my first "book" at age seven. It was called "Teddy Bear in the Woods" and was followed by a sequel. Luckily, my parents encouraged my writing and my sister, Janet, was a great writer and role model.

I didn't just write, however. When I wasn't roller-skating (my favorite pastime), I was riding my bike, playing piano, swimming, reading, playing cards and board games or just hanging out with my friends. I loved school, but I loved vacations, too!

I am so pleased to have signed my kids up as they are reading a much wider range of books and even choosing books out of their comfort zone.

It is THE website to use for narrowing down your search for any book. Definitely knocks the socks off any other book review website.
