Jake loves looking forward to Christmas but this year everything is spoilt when his friends are kidnapped. Jake may be a bit unruly and is sometimes badly behaved but he is very kind and very brave and he soon sets to work to get everyone safely home just in time to celebrate Christmas!

Annette and Nick Butterworth have always kept dogs and the inspiration for Jake is from two dogs in particular, the real life Jake, who played a major role in the creation of Percy the Park Keeper, and Sheppy.
