Goodnight Tiptoe is one of six titles in the Tilly and Friends series from Polly Dunbar who is one of today's most exciting young author-illustrators.  Her warm and witty books captivate children and their parents the world over.  Polly based the Tilly and Friends stories on her own experiences of sharing a house with friends.  Tilly, Hector, Tumpty, Doodle, Tiptoe and pru are all very different and they don't always get on.  But in the little yellow house, full of love and laughter, no one can be sad or cross for very long!

Synopsis

“I’m not sleepy,” says Tiptoe while Tilly gives him his goodnight kiss. Boom! Boom! Boom! goes Tiptoe’s drum while Tilly sings him a goodnight lullaby. Will a bedtime story do the trick and send Tiptoe off to sleep? Ah, yes… Now Tilly must get ready for bed herself. If only there were someone to tuck her in… But wait! Tiptoe is still awake … and he’s come to tuck Tilly in and give her a goodnight kiss!

About The Author

Polly Dunbar is a major picture-book talent. She is the author-illustrator of Penguin, Dog Blue and Flyaway Katie, and the illustrator of Shoe Baby, written by her mother, Joyce Dunbar. Her best-selling book Penguin has won numerous awards including the Book Trust Early Year's Award 2007, the Nestle Silver Children's Book Prize 2007, the Practical Pre-School Award 2007 and the Red House Children's Book of the Year Award 2008, and was shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Her series Tilly and Friends is being made into an animated series, to air on CBeebies. Polly currently lives and works in Dublin.
