An endearing and heart-warming story about the orphan, Pollyanna, and her optimistic outlook on life and how she tries to spread goodwill among the townsfolk of Beldingsville.  ...The much-loved story is the latest addition to the acclaimed Oxford Children's Classics series.

Synopsis

Pollyanna by Eleanor H. Porter

If you love a good story, then look no further. Oxford Children's Classics bring together the most unforgettable stories ever told. They're books to treasure and return to again and again. When orphan Pollyanna is sent to live with her bad-tempered aunt, she realizes that many of the folk in Beldingsville could use her help. As she brings cheer and hope to the people around her, and reminds them that every cloud has a silver lining, she brightens up many lives. But then Pollyana experiences something so terrible that she wonders if she'll ever feel glad again.
