Interest Age 9+ Reading Age 8+. Helped by Umba-Wumba and his amazing space ship, Mouse and Millie slip back in time to the Middle Ages so that they can meet a real knight who can help them with their history homework. They soon discover that being a knight is not as easy as it sounds as killing a monster can be very scary! Luckily, Millie and Mouse can bring some useful knowledge from the twentieth century to help the knight to find out that an elephant is not as scary as he thinks.

Synopsis

A Monster Ate My Marmite by Eric Brown

Three friends journey back to the Middle Ages, joining forces with England's most useless knight to defeat the dreaded cave monster. Sequel to An Alien Ate Me for Breakfast. Suitable for reluctant, struggling and dyslexic children.

Mouse, Millie and their alien friend Umba-Wumba travel back to the year 1400 to research knights and dragons for their homework. But their trip doesn't go as smoothly as planned when they get roped into saving the villagers from an evil monster! Aided by the worst knight in England, can the trio fulfil their mission and make it back home? An amusing tale of courage and friendship.
