Simply told and illustrated, this is a touching story about a poor little wizard who can’t learn to fly. Alone in the forest practicing his flying, the little wizard meets a dragon who promises to teach him how to do it. They practice together but still the little wizard can’t get his broomstick off the ground. The dragon explains that you need a reason to be able to fly but the little wizard just can’t think of one. But the dragon proves to be right and, when a reason does arise, the little wizard is up and away – and saves the dragon’s skin by doing so.

Little Wizard by Kazuno Kohara

Poor Little Wizard. He's the only one who can't fly, and none of the other wizards will be his friend. But after he meets a dragon in the woods he discovers that friendship can be found in the most surprising of places, and that anything is possible if you believe in yourself. A touching story about the power of friendship and self-belief from the CILIP Kate Greenaway - nominated creator of The Haunted House and Jack Frost.
