The Lovereading4Kids comment

March 2012 Book of the Month. From the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize comes the third amazing instalment of this brilliant series. This again takes the form of Tom's battered homework diary - crammed with his scribbles and stories. Totally accessible for boys and girls and reluctant readers, honest, silly, and laugh-out-loud funny, Tom Gates is a superb voice for kids of 9+ and perfect for anyone who loves Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Back to school, but it's not all bad. We're entering Rooster in a dog show, the School Disco and my birthday are coming up so thi term's going to be amazing! Mostly because Delia's not invitedo any of these. There's only one small problem with my birthday, Granny Mavis says she's going to cook ...uh oh!

Praise for the Tom Gates books:

"This book is a must for anyone who doodles, likes to wind up their sibling, has a serious caramel wafer habit and enjoys having their chuckle muscles exercised." Michael Rosen

"Pichon's books are bursting with humour and you can tell it comes from real experiences and observations." Martin Chilton, The Telegraph
