The Lovereading4Kids comment

A bold, bright and beautiful Bible book for toddlers to enjoy. This cheerful book introduces 11 favourite Bible stories, retold especially for the very youngest early learners, in just one spread each. Stephen Barker's illustrations are bright and simple, with cheery faces that very young children can respond to.

Synopsis

My First Bible Stories by Christina Goodings

Stories from Old and New Testaments are chosen so babies can get to know the key stories and characters from the very beginning.

Stories featured include: The Beginning, Noah and the Flood, Baby Moses, Brave David, Jonah in Deep Trouble, Daniel and the Lions, Baby Jesus, The Two Builders, Jesus and the Children, The Lost Sheep and The Way to Heaven.

Reviews

Children will be drawn to the vivid illustrations done in collage style with simplified shapes and cheerful characters. There is no other collection of Bible stories available with the combination of such simple retellings and attractive illustrations, making this an excellent starting place for younger children. -- Kirkus Reviews
