Julia Eccleshare's comment:
June 2012 Debut of the Month and eBook of the Month.
A witty and original prize-winning debut 'fairy' novel that has won the hearts of readers across the US. Once an ordinary 12 year old, nothing is ever ordinary again for September after Green Wind, a fast talking man with a very bold suggestion, knocks on her window and invites her on a trip to Fairyland. With her parents away, September has nothing to lose but little does she know what's in store! Fairyland is in chaos and September decides that she's the one who will sort it out... Luckily, there's some help at hand of an unorthodox kind in the form of a book mad dragon. Can September get Fairyland back into shape? It's certainly a very exciting if unexpected ending.

Synopsis
The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. ValenteWhen September gets to Fairyland, she finds it crushed by the iron rule of a villainous Marquess - she soon discovers that she alone holds the key to restoring order. Having read enough books to know what a girl with a quest must do, September sets out to Fix Things. As September forges her way through Fairyland, with a book-loving dragon and a boy named Saturday by her side, she makes many friends and mistakes, losing her shadow, her shoes and her way. But she finds adventure, courage, a rather special Spoon, and a lot more besides...
