The Lovereading4Kids comment

A dreamy, goodnight story. Bedtime comes and every one is sleepy – except Tiptoe! One after another, Tilly settles her friends down for the night. Their eyes close, now they are ready for sleep….even Tiptoe looks peaceful. Now Tilly can go to bed too but who will settle her? Luckily, Tiptoe is still awake after all!

Tilly and Friends began life as a charming series of six books by acclaimed author-illustrator Polly Dunbar, and has now been made into a television series on CBeebies. Each episode follows the everyday adventures of Tilly and her five friends – Pru, Hector, Doodle, Tiptoe and Tumpty – all living in a little yellow house!

Synopsis

Goodnight Tiptoe by Polly Dunbar

This title comes from inspired picture-book creator Polly Dunbar, the first in the colourful, charming, soon-to-be televised series following the escapades of Tilly and her friends. I'm not sleepy, says Tiptoe while Tilly gives him his goodnight kiss. Boom! Boom! Boom! Goes Tiptoe's drum while Tilly sings him a goodnight lullaby. Will a bedtime story do the trick and send tiptoe off to sleep? Ah, yes...Now Tilly must get ready for bed herself. If only there was someone to tuck her in...But wait! Tiptoe is still awake ...and he's come to tuck Tilly in and give her a goodnight kiss!
