The Lovereading4Kids comment

From an important and exciting new author/illustrator - a hugely original new talent - comes a riot of canine fun, bound to attract appreciative tail-wagging from dog fans! Featuring a royal guest star at the end it's perfectly timed in 2012 for Jubilee celebrations. This is truly an irresistibly stylish picture book with minimal text and dreamlike illustrations. It's a book with real heart.

Archie by Domenica More Gordon

Archie leads a quiet life with his faithful pet - until one day, he gets a sewing machine and discovers a remarkable talent for tailoring. Word spreads, the phone starts ringing, and soon every dog in the park wants to wear his co-ordinating canine couture. Flounces, frills, florals, stripes - there's something for everyone, pedigree or mutt, dachshund or Weimaraner, even highly-connected corgis ...

Rarely does a debut so justly and eloquently lay down its claim to be a classic; Archie is a comic masterpiece. Gloriously understated and beautifully drawn, it wins on every score Alexander Armstrong (Armstrong and Miller)

Witty, fantastical, totally loveable with a very loyal ending Clarissa Dickson Wright

Woof! Woof! We are smitten Savour every page of this utterly charming book Country Life

Archie ... was clearly designed for reading pleasure ... Gordon's fine watercolors capture the various dogs personalities and styles with aplomb. The New York Times
