The Lovereading4Kids comment

However hard he tries to attract attention no-one ever watches the acrobat at the circus. They are busy watching Hercule the weightlifter, Marguerite the Magnificent and Adele the Astounding. Sadly, the acrobat leaves the circus to find another audience. Still no one wants to watch him. Then he has a brilliant idea! When the acrobat feeds the birds everyone wants to watch him! Full of charm and modesty, this is an attractive story about finding your place in the world.

Synopsis

The Acrobat by Alborozo

This is the story of an acrobat who leaves the circus in search of a new audience. He tries with all his best tricks to attract the attention of passers by, but no one is interested. Just when he's about to give up all hope, something extraordinary happens to change his luck.

Written and illustrated by a fresh new talent, this gentle and humorous story will appeal to everyone who loves a clown.

About the Author

Alborozo

At the bouncy age of fifteen, Gabriel Alborozo began working as a cartoonist for Private Eye, Punch, The Spectator and numerous other magazines. He has been a freelance cartoonist and illustrator ever since. Along the way, he’s managed to fit in living in Australia for a while.

Working in animation and archaeological illustration, he ended up in all sorts of hot and uncomfortable places. His first love, though, has always been illustrating for children, and bringing as much joy and happiness as possible into the worlds visited by his readers.

He lives in South London with his awesome wife, watches a lot of films (preferably containing robots and/or aliens), walks about quite a bit, and draws a great deal. He has a beard and likes hats. (Oh, and Wombats.)
