The Lovereading4Kids comment

Chicky chicks, buzzy bees and kitty cats romp in sun and snuggle in the warmth, until pitter-patter, down comes the rain. A great read-aloud, sing-along book, full of fun-to-imitate animal sounds, rhythm and movement.

A Piece of Passion from David Bennett, Publisher, Boxer Books

This is fabulous writing! When I opened the unsolicited envelope and saw the dummy for Chicky with some notes from Cathy MacLennan - I called her immediately! In publishing everyone is looking for something new and Cathy had achieved that in every aspect of her presentation. She had singled out Boxer Books for her first book. She plays with language in an unfettered manner, full of fun and a style of illustration that is unlike any other. Lucky Boxer Books!
