Winnie and Wilbur are at the heart of the action in twelve gorgeous pictures. There’s a trip to the museum, a day at the seaside, a visit to a show and a trip under the water among other things. Within each spread there are hidden surprises and a list of what to look for. Finding what’s hidden will provide hours of fun for Winnie’s many fans.

What Can You Spot in Winnie's World? by Valerie Thomas

Winnie and Wilbur often find themselves in a crowd. Whether they're enjoying a day at the seaside or queuing outside the museum, the incredible details in Korky Paul's spectacular scenes provide a challenge for the most eagle-eyed Winnie fans. Can you find that cat with an eye-patch, that duck in a hurry, or that wizard with a long, white beard? So what are you waiting for? Let the searching begin!

About the Author

Valerie Thomas

Valerie Thomas was born in Melbourne, Australia, and has lived there for most of her life, apart from six years spent in Europe, where she worked in England, France and Norway. She is a teacher, and has taught in primary, secondary, and special schools in Australia and England as well as lecturing in English Teaching Method in a Teachers' College in Melbourne.

For many years she worked as an educational researcher and curriculum consultant in the area of spelling, and has written extensively on the subject. Her other main interest is travel. She has travelled to most corners of the world, and has written about her travels: the first piece of writing she had published was an account of her experience picking grapes for the champagne harvest in France. She is now trying to organise her life so that she never has to experience another Winter.

In 1987 her phenomenally successful children’s book Winnie the Witch, illustrated by Korky Paul, was published by Oxford University Press and won the Children’s Book of the Year Award. She used to live with a big black cat exactly like Wilbur.
