The Lovereading4Kids comment

November 2013 Book of the Month In the classic Old Bear, Jane Hissey’s stunning illustrations of the inhabitants of the toy cupboard are brought to life. Now they are back for a new adventure. This time they are waiting for snow! When they get impatient the animals create their own snow from flour, bath bubbles, little bits of paper and feathers! They even make a slide so they can have a go at sledging. It is all good fun - and then the snow comes!

Synopsis

Jolly Snow by Jane Hissey

It's winter time, and Jolly Tall has been gazing out of the window for days, but there's no snow. Then Little Bear has a brilliant idea - why not make their own?

A beautiful brand new edition of Jane Hissey's classic playroom adventure, Jolly Snow.

Reviews

There is humor in some of the shenanigans the cuddly friends get into, but their teamwork and persistence are endearing. The illustrations are soft and muted, giving a cozy, friendly tone to the story. VERDICT A jolly seasonal selection, especially for Hissey's many fans. School Library Journal
