A lovely soothing read to share with a young child worried about being apart from their parents. Ideal for little ones about to start nursery or school.

I Want My Mummy! by Tracey Corderoy

It's Arthur's first day apart from his mummy and he really misses her. Even his fantastic dragon costume and favourite toy dragon don't cheer him up. Raaagh! he roars grumpily. But luckily Granny knows just what to do...Perfect to reassure any toddler worried about being apart from their parents.

Corderoy has created a tender story that lets children know they aren't alone in missing their parents when they are separated... I loved this book from beginning to end. Highly recommended. - The Children and Teen's Book Collection Told with real empathy, this is a lovely book to discuss with your child... Alison Edgson's warm and friendly illustrations are perfect. - Parents in Touch If you are preparing your child for nursery or school or for any kind of separation, then Tracey Corderoy's I Want My Mummy is the book for your child and you. - Made For Mums This book is an aww fest! If you think the cover is heart-melting, there is more inside to make you squee over the adorable Arthur who is forever cute in his costume. - Nayu's Reading Corner This is a really lovely read that is reassuring for little people who may be nervous about leaving mummy. A gorgeous read for sharing together! - Little Fiction Fascination This sweet and enchanting picture book is essential reading for toddlers who find it hard to be separated from their mum... [It is] ideal for children going into pre-school or if you are going away for the weekend and your little one is anxious. - Junior Magazine This is a lovely picture book that explores a common issue that preschoolers face, and it's perfect for a parent to share with their child before they leave them for the first time. The bright pictures are very eye-catching and so beautifully drawn that you can just feel the softness of Arthur and his onesie. - Read Plus
