About the Author

Stephen Jackson took an MA in Playwriting at Birmingham University. He spotted details about this prestigious course by chance and, with no previous writing experience, sent in a manuscript for a play and was accepted. Taught by the likes of Anthony Minghella, Alan Ayckbourn and Alan Bennett he was one of the first two writers to receive a distinction. But he was still teased by fellow graduates who would take him to see a play and announce, 'This is a theatre, Steve!'.
