Norman Enormous by Dave Hackett

Norman Enormous lives by himself, all squished and squashed in his normal-sized home. The one thing he hopes for at the end of each day is to find a real-true-good-fun-very-best-friend. But will he? Dave is an original. This one is a meld of Edward Lear, Dr. Seuss and probably a thousand other influences - but it's somehow 100 per cent Dave Hackett.

About the Author

Dave Hackett is the unrestrainable author of a growing list of books: two self-published how-to-cartoon books, and our own No-Rules Cartooning published in 2004, a 2005 Children's Book Council of Australia Notable Book, and Fab Face Freak-Out, published 2006, as well as three novels UFO - Unavoidable Family Outing (2006), UFO in the USA (2007) and UFO Afloat (2008). Also known as 'Cartoon Dave', Dave visits Disney Channel's afternoon kids' show 'Studio D' each Thursday to share his awesome cartooning tips with the kids of Australia in his popular segment, 'The Big Doodle'. Since 1996, he has also been a regular guest on Network Ten's morning cartoon program, 'Cheez TV'. Dave's many other television appearances include 'Good Morning Australia' with Bert Newton (Network Ten), 'Totally Wild' (Network Ten) and 'The Big Arvo' (Seven Network). In addition, Cartoon Dave is featured in every issue of Disney Adventures magazine, with his own 'how to' page and an interactive comic strip 'D'n'A'. Dave Hackett lives in the Blue Mountains with his wife and children.
